YouTuber Adam the Woo Dies at 51

Adam the Woo, the popular YouTube vlogger whose real name was David Adam Williams, has died at the age of 51.

He was found at his home in Celebration, Florida, on Monday, December 22, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office confirmed. TMZ first reported the news.

A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office told PEOPLE that deputies responded to the residence after a friend looked through a third-story window and saw Williams unresponsive on a bed. “The residence was secured, and no contact was made with the adult male residing there,” the statement said. “Upon entering with Fire Rescue, the male was reported deceased.” Williams’ father has been notified of his death.

The cause of death is still under investigation, and the medical examiner will perform an autopsy.

Friends and fellow creators have expressed shock and grief at Williams’ passing. Fellow YouTuber Justin Scarred wrote on Facebook, “The world has lost a giant, and I have lost a friend closer to me than blood. Please pray for his parents Jim and June and his sister Faith.”

Chris Yon, another friend and collaborator, shared on Instagram, “I just visited him four days ago in Celebration, Florida. We rode around town in his golf cart, talking about his travels, upcoming plans for his YouTube channel, and even a Rays game we were planning to go to next year. I truly don’t know what to say. I’m in complete shock. RIP David Adam Williams 💔.”

Williams began his YouTube journey in 2009 and launched his most famous channel, The Daily Woo, in 2012. On the channel, he posted daily vlogs for five years, documenting visits to all 50 U.S. states, theme parks, haunted houses, small towns, and other events.
