Robert F. Kennedy Jr. took a brief break from his public duties to enjoy some holiday festivities in Aspen, Colorado. The Health and Human Services secretary was seen at DJ Diplo’s après-ski concert at the Snow Lodge at the St. Regis on Saturday, accompanied by family members, a source told Page Six.
Dressed casually in ski pants and a sweater, RFK Jr. was reportedly surrounded by U.S. Marshals “in plain clothes, blending into the crowd.” He stayed for about 30 minutes, enjoying the music without dancing, though he posed for selfies with fellow attendees.
Meanwhile, his daughter, Kyra Kennedy, 30, got a closer view from the stage and reunited with her father before he left the venue. The event also featured a surprise performance by Santigold. Other notable guests included Olympic snowboarder Shaun White, model Sailor Brinkley Cook, celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta, and influencer Tinx.
The Kennedy family has long frequented Aspen for the holidays, maintaining the tradition even after the tragic death of RFK Jr.’s brother, Michael, in a skiing accident on New Year’s Eve 1997.
Adding to the family’s Aspen history, RFK Jr.’s son Conor, 31, once made headlines for a 2016 bar fight in the town, later pleading guilty to a misdemeanor to avoid jail time.
