Reality TV personality Kyle Chrisley, son of “Chrisley Knows Best” star Todd Chrisley, was arrested Saturday night in Tennessee on multiple charges, including domestic assault, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct.
According to TMZ, officers detained the 34-year-old around 7 p.m. and took him to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. Additional charges reportedly include resisting arrest, assaulting a first responder, and retaliating for prior actions.
Chrisley has a long history of legal issues. In May 2019, he was arrested in Oklahoma for alleged drug possession while also facing a warrant for reportedly making death threats to a former partner. Those charges were later dropped due to lack of cooperation from his ex.
In September 2019, Chrisley opened up about attempting suicide, citing a severe reaction to medication. “I take medication and I had a bad side effect to it and I tried to take my own life,” he shared on the “Chrisley Confessions” podcast.
His legal troubles continued in March 2023, when he was detained for aggravated assault after allegedly waving a “fixed blade” during an altercation with his boss. Kyle’s wife, Ashleigh Chrisley, denied the allegations, claiming the incident began as a verbal disagreement and that Kyle acted in self-defense due to his PTSD.
Todd Chrisley has previously shared that Kyle was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and will face lifelong struggles. Despite these challenges, the reality TV family has remained in the public eye, with Kyle’s legal and personal struggles continuing to make headlines.
Representatives for Todd Chrisley and the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office have not yet responded to requests for comment.
