Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly blocked his famous family on social media following an unexpected reaction to one of his recent posts.
According to the US Sun, the 26-year-old blocked his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, as well as his brother Cruz, after Victoria “liked” a video Brooklyn shared about roasting a chicken. In the post, the photographer-turned-chef explained how beer-brining can add extra flavor to the dish.
The simple “like” from Victoria, 51, reportedly triggered a wave of fan comments urging Brooklyn to reconcile with his family. Sources say the attention annoyed Brooklyn, prompting him to block his mother within hours. He allegedly went on to block his father David, 50, and siblings Cruz, Romeo and Harper as well.
A source told the outlet that David and Victoria were left “heartbroken” by the move.
“This came out of the blue for them, especially so close to Christmas when families are meant to come together,” the insider said. “They just want things to be fixed, but with every week it seems to be getting worse.”
The source added that brothers Cruz and Romeo were angry about the situation, saying they felt Brooklyn had turned a private family matter into a very public issue.
While reports initially suggested that David and Victoria had unfollowed Brooklyn, Cruz, 20, quickly shut down the claims on Instagram.
“NOT TRUE,” Cruz wrote. “My mum and dad would never unfollow their son. Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as did I.”
Despite the online drama, another source previously told Us Weekly in October that Brooklyn had “no interest” in repairing the relationship at the moment. He is said to be focused on living a calm, drama-free life with his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, 30.
