NFL star Russell Wilson and Grammy-winning artist Ciara have put one of Southern California’s most impressive private estates on the market — and the price tag is headline-making.
The couple is asking $54.9 million for their 9-acre Rancho Santa Fe compound, known as Amor Estate. If it sells anywhere near that figure, it could set a new residential sales record for San Diego County, surpassing the current $50 million benchmark set by a Del Mar beachfront sale earlier this year.
Wilson and Ciara purchased the property in 2021 for $14.5 million, shortly before Wilson’s move to the Denver Broncos. They then embarked on an extensive redesign, transforming the early-2000s Mediterranean home into a modern luxury retreat tailored to their lifestyles. The renovation included a near-total rebuild of major interior spaces and the addition of specialized amenities supporting Wilson’s training and Ciara’s music career.
A Resort-Style Compound Built for Sport and Creativity
A long, palm-lined driveway leads to the 30,000-square-foot main residence, which features seven bedrooms, a soaring two-story atrium entry, large formal and informal living areas, high coffered ceilings, covered loggias, and a full bar–equipped game room. The primary suite offers a private fireplace, custom walk-in closet with glass displays, and a dedicated glam room.
One of the estate’s most dramatic transformations occurred outdoors. Formerly home to an equestrian arena, the space was repurposed into a full-size football field where Wilson trained with teammates during the offseason. For Ciara, the property includes a professional recording studio, located in a separate building for privacy.
Outdoor amenities are extensive: a resort-style pool with a waterslide, a wood-fired pizza oven, a sports court, a game pavilion complete with a candy bar, a two-bedroom guesthouse, and a 10-car garage. Wellness facilities include a private fitness center with a sauna, cold plunge, and spa-style treatment areas.
Part of a Bigger Cross-Country Real Estate Shift
Before their Southern California chapter, Wilson and Ciara’s main West Coast home base was in the Seattle area. Wilson purchased a $6.7 million Lake Washington mansion in 2015, listing it for $28 million in 2022 and ultimately selling it in 2024 for $21.15 million. They also sold the adjacent undeveloped lot for around $5 million, ending their Pacific Northwest holdings after Wilson’s departure from the Seattle Seahawks.
As they exited Washington, the couple acquired a $25 million mansion in the Denver metro area — the most expensive residential sale ever recorded in Denver. The 20,000-square-foot home boasts four bedrooms, twelve bathrooms, an indoor pool, a home theater, and expansive entertainment facilities.
Their Rancho Santa Fe purchase came shortly thereafter, but Wilson’s NFL moves continued. After stints with the Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelers, and eventually the New York Giants, the couple’s center of gravity shifted firmly eastward. Listing the newly renovated Amor Estate marks the last phase of their coast-to-coast relocation.
Record-Setting Potential in Rancho Santa Fe
With its mix of acreage, privacy, and luxury amenities within a gated enclave near Del Mar Country Club, Amor Estate stands out even among Rancho Santa Fe’s most exclusive listings. Listing agent Brian Guiltinan notes that the scope of renovations, bespoke features, and large-scale facilities position the property as one of the most significant estates currently on the market in Southern California.
