La Toya Jackson has sparked concern among fans after sharing a montage of new photos on Instagram that highlighted her noticeably thin frame.
The 69-year-old singer posted images on Monday wearing a long-sleeved red top, black pants and gold pointed heels, accessorized with a chunky chain belt and a bracelet. Her slender figure was especially striking in a side-profile pose included in the montage.
Jackson captioned the post with a cheerful message: “Happy Monday guys! Wishing you all a fabulous week! Stay safe, healthy and much love to you all!”
But the post quickly drew mixed reactions. While some users made negative comments about her weight, many others defended the star, insisting she has always been naturally petite.
“LaToya has always been petite, and it’s normal to lose muscle mass as you get older,” one fan wrote. “The jokes some of y’all are making are unnecessary and rude. You wouldn’t say that in person. Grow up.”
Another follower expressed worry: “Y’all please don’t be unkind. I think LaToya is having some health challenges.”
Jackson’s representative did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Last month, the songwriter raised questions about her health after posting a cryptic video from a doctor’s office, though she did not disclose the reason for her appointment.
