Angelina Jolie’s son Knox has unveiled a striking new hairstyle — and fans immediately spotted the nostalgic connection.
The 17-year-old stepped out in Los Angeles over the weekend sporting a spiky, pastel-pink pixie cut that mirrors the bold hot‑pink bob Jolie famously wore in her 1998 film Playing by Heart.
Jolie’s edgy look from the late ’90s has long been considered one of her most iconic style moments, and Knox’s new cut appears to be a direct homage. The teen was photographed in Los Feliz wearing a pale pink sweatshirt and embroidered floral jeans as he picked up food with a friend at Lazy Acres Market.
Knox is one of six children Jolie shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. And he’s not the only one in the family taking style cues from the Oscar-winning star.
Shiloh, now 19, channeled her mom’s Tomb Raider era earlier this year with a set of braided, action-hero–inspired twists. In 2024, Zahara made headlines when she appeared to “rework” Jolie’s unforgettable 2004 Oscars gown for the premiere of Maria, wearing a white halter dress that echoed the original Marc Bouwer design. Her look also aligned with an Atelier Jolie piece her mother modeled for CR Fashion Book.
The Jolie-Pitt children have remained closely aligned with their mother throughout her long and highly publicized split from Pitt. The pair separated in 2016, and years of custody battles stalled the divorce until it was finalized in late 2024. Sources previously told Page Six that Pitt’s girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, encouraged the actor to finally settle the near decade-long proceedings.
Jolie has spoken openly about how her children helped her through the emotional turmoil of the divorce.
In a 2023 interview with Vogue, she said, “Having children saved me — and taught me to be in this world differently. I think, recently, I would’ve gone under in a much darker way had I not wanted to live for them.”
