Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Mother Held at Gunpoint During Armed Break-In at Florida Home

Tekashi 6ix9ine is dealing with a frightening new ordeal after his mother was reportedly held at gunpoint during a home invasion at the rapper’s Florida residence over the weekend.

According to TMZ, individuals inside the house told police that four masked men armed with handguns forced their way inside, demanding cash and car keys before ransacking the property. The intruders fled the scene before authorities arrived.

6ix9ine — whose real name is Daniel Hernandez — was not home at the time. Instead, he was livestreaming with influencer Jack Doherty when the break-in occurred.

Deputies conducted a full search of the property with the help of a K-9 unit, but no suspects were located. The sheriff’s office believes the group escaped in a waiting vehicle. The investigation is currently ongoing.

The alarming incident comes at a turbulent time for the rapper, who is facing a potential three- to nine-month prison sentence for violating the terms of his supervised release. He is scheduled to return to court on Thursday for sentencing.

His attorney, Lance Lazzaro, recently urged the court to consider the severe conditions 6ix9ine would face behind bars. In a letter obtained by Billboard, Lazzaro wrote that the rapper’s history as a government cooperator means he is kept in extreme isolation during incarceration.

“Due to Mr. Hernandez’s classification, he always serves his jail time segregated and fully isolated from other inmates,” Lazzaro wrote. “He receives extremely limited social interaction and very little time outdoors.”

Prosecutors, however, pushed back, insisting that cooperators must still be held accountable. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan Rebold argued, “The court must send a message that government cooperators are not above the law by virtue of their status.”
