Singer Christina Perri has filed for divorce from her husband Paul Costabile after seven years of marriage.
According to court documents filed on November 4 in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles and obtained by DreamBiz Entertain, the 39-year-old singer cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
Perri and Costabile married on December 12, 2017. They share two daughters — Carmella Stanley, 7, and Pixie Rose, 3. In the filing, Perri is requesting joint legal and physical custody of the children. She has also asked the court not to grant spousal support to Costabile.
The documents reveal that the couple signed a prenuptial agreement one day before their wedding in 2017. DreamBiz Entertain has reached out to representatives of both Perri and Costabile for comment.
The couple’s relationship was once celebrated publicly. They first announced their marriage in 2017 on Instagram. At the time, Costabile shared an emotional message alongside a photo of them together, writing:
“4 years ago today I met my dream girl in this room. 4 years later today I married my dream girl and best friend.”
He continued:
“I thank God for the gift of her, our relationship, our bambino on the way, our family’s love and support and this unforgettable year.”
Their journey as parents has included moments of joy and heartbreaking loss. The couple welcomed Carmella in January 2018, but Perri later suffered a miscarriage in early 2020. After becoming pregnant again that year, Perri announced in November 2020 that their baby had been “born silent.”
Nearly two years later, the family welcomed their second daughter, Pixie, in October 2022.
