The wait is finally nearing its end — and the BTS ARMY is already buzzing.
As music fans look ahead to the biggest releases of 2026, one comeback towers above the rest: the return of global K-Pop phenomenon BTS. After three years on hiatus, the group is gearing up to reunite — and now fans have a clearer timeline for the highly anticipated album.
During a livestream on Saturday, Nov. 1, following a performance, Jimin surprised viewers with the news they’ve been hoping for.
“Guys, we just finished recording,” he shared excitedly. “It can come out next spring. Seeing you today, I really feel like promoting our music.”
BTS has been on hiatus since 2022, when the members temporarily paused group activities to complete their mandatory military service in South Korea. In the meantime, each member released solo projects and continued to build global fanbases individually. All seven members were officially discharged as of June this year, paving the way for their reunion as a group.
Hints of the comeback have been circulating for months. In October, RM told W Korea that the new album’s visuals and music video were already in production.
“We’re still preparing the album, filming the jacket, and filming the music video,” he confirmed.
A report from Bloomberg on Oct. 25 added even more fuel to the excitement — claiming the album is expected to arrive in March 2026, followed by a massive 65-date world tour. If confirmed, it would be their first global tour since 2019, with more than 30 of the shows reportedly planned for North America.
BTS has long been credited with helping launch K-Pop to unprecedented levels of international stardom. Their 2020 smash “Dynamite” marked their first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, followed by chart-toppers “Butter” and “Permission to Dance.”
With a new era now on the horizon, fans are already preparing — emotionally, technologically, and financially — for the wave of music, visuals, and stadium lights that only BTS can deliver.
For ARMY, 2026 can’t come soon enough.
