Offset Accused of Assault in Dispensary Dust-Up as Security Guard Files Lawsuit in Los Angeles

Offset is once again under legal scrutiny after a security guard filed a lawsuit accusing the rapper of assault during an alleged altercation at a Los Angeles cannabis dispensary earlier this year.

According to court documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on October 28, security guard Jim Leobardo Sanchez claims he was working at MedMen LAX on March 14 when Offset entered the store with several associates. Sanchez alleges he asked the star to show identification, which he says immediately sparked the confrontation.

The lawsuit states that Offset “became hostile, verbally confrontational, and physically attacked Plaintiff by striking him in the face.” Sanchez also claims that members of Offset’s group “grabbed, pushed, and further assaulted and battered” him, leaving him suffering from severe neck pain and ongoing headaches.

Emergency responders treated Sanchez at the scene before transporting him to Centinela Hospital, where he received medical care and pain medication. He now claims the incident has caused lasting physical pain, emotional distress, and financial losses tied to medical bills and missed work. He is seeking more than $25,000 in damages, including punitive compensation.

However, Offset’s camp has previously denied the allegations. When the altercation first surfaced in March, a representative for the rapper called the accusations “complete and total BS.” Sources close to Offset alleged that Sanchez had rushed at the rapper and even spat on him, triggering the physical reaction. They also claim the guard later used mace on Offset and his entourage.

Offset has not yet publicly addressed the newly filed lawsuit, and lawyers for both sides have not provided additional comment. Sanchez is represented by attorneys Michael T. Karikomi and Savion Cotten and is requesting a jury trial.
