Tory Lanez Dragged Back Into Hot Seat as Judge Orders Him to Finally Answer Questions in Megan Thee Stallion Defamation Case

Tory Lanez is once again being forced to take the stand — this time, not in a criminal court, but in Megan Thee Stallion’s ongoing defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz. After two failed deposition attempts marked by delays, excuses, and courtroom theatrics, a judge has ordered the rapper to sit for questioning under supervision, whether he likes it or not.

In a ruling issued Oct. 30, Judge Lisette M. Reid rejected Lanez’s argument that participating in a deposition could jeopardize his ongoing criminal appeal over the 2020 shooting that left Megan wounded. Lanez — legal name Daystar Peterson — is currently serving a 10-year sentence for that conviction.

Judge Reid was clear: Lanez’s testimony will focus on his relationship and alleged communications with blogger Milagro Gramz, not Megan herself. Because of that, she ruled, there is “no clear” reason that answering questions would harm his appeal.

The judge also made it known that Lanez will have to respond, but may invoke his Fifth Amendment rights only one question at a time — with the judge herself supervising to ensure compliance.

This order comes after months of frustration from Megan’s legal team. They allege that during an earlier deposition attempt, Lanez pretended not to understand simple words, insulted a member of Megan’s legal staff, and even pretended the video equipment wasn’t working — despite prison officials confirming it was.

He was later held in contempt and a second deposition was scheduled. But when he arrived, his lawyer refused to let him answer questions, citing the ongoing appeal.

Now, a third attempt is being arranged — and the court has made it clear: this time, the games are over.

Judge Reid also hinted that Lanez could be ordered to pay Megan’s legal costs for the time wasted due to what the court described as repeated “shenanigans.”

Megan Thee Stallion, who filed the lawsuit last October, has spoken publicly about the emotional toll of the online attacks she says were fueled by bloggers who aligned themselves with Lanez.

“It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying, and the publication of misinformation about my personal and professional life,” she said at the time. “It’s unacceptable behavior and there will be consequences.”

The trial between Megan and Milagro Gramz is set to begin Nov. 17. Lanez is expected to attend the deposition before that date, though the court has yet to confirm the exact day.
