Heidi Klum once again lived up to her reputation as Hollywood’s queen of Halloween, hosting her 24th annual “Heidiween” celebration in New York on Friday night. The event, held at the Hard Rock Hotel, drew celebrities from across the entertainment world, all eager to showcase their most elaborate costumes.
Klum arrived on the red carpet transformed into the Greek mythological figure Medusa, complete with a long serpentine tail, shimmering green scales and animatronic snakes that moved through her hair. Her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, appeared alongside her dressed as a stone soldier to complement the mythical theme.

Speaking to Vogue, Klum said she wanted to reinterpret one of history’s most iconic monsters. “Medusa stood out to me as truly iconic—mysterious yet ferocious. The legend of her turning humans to stone has fascinated audiences for centuries,” she said. She added that the costume’s creation involved hours of detailed prosthetic painting, taking nearly nine hours to complete.
Klum had teased the look throughout October, posting glimpses of masks and prosthetic pieces on social media, building anticipation among fans who eagerly awaited her yearly reveal. She previously hinted that the costume would be “super scary” and “extra ugly,” sending followers into weeks of speculation.
The German supermodel is known for turning Halloween into a high-fashion spectacle. In recent years, she has appeared as a hyper-realistic worm in 2022, the female version of E.T. in 2023, and animated character Jessica Rabbit in 2015. Each appearance has further cemented her status as one of the most creative and daring costume designers in celebrity culture.
This year’s celebration once again drew notable guests, including Jay Manuel, Maye Musk and Jonathan Cheban, all dressed in their most spirited Halloween ensembles. As always, the event was a major highlight of the entertainment calendar, with fans and fashion observers praising Klum’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of costume artistry.
