Ariana Grande is officially headed back to television — and she’s stepping right into the dark and twisted world of American Horror Story.
The pop superstar will star in Season 13 of the hit horror anthology, marking her first major TV role in nearly 10 years. The new season is set to premiere during Halloween season in October 2026, giving fans plenty of time to prepare for the spooky return.
The announcement came Friday via a dramatic teaser from Ryan Murphy Productions, shared on Instagram. The clip opened with the iconic line, “Surprise, b–h! I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me,” famously spoken by Emma Roberts’ character Madison Montgomery in Season 3, before confirming the series’ comeback — and Grande’s role.
Grande, 32, will join a star-studded cast that includes Roberts, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman and Jessica Lange — who is returning to the franchise after last appearing in Season 8.
The internet did what it does best: explode.
“ARIANA GRANDE HELLO?!?!” one fan wrote in the comments.

“please let ariana live more than one episode,” another joked, referencing the show’s habit of killing characters off without warning.
Others celebrated Lange’s comeback, calling it “historic” and “the return of the mother herself.”
Grande is no stranger to the Ryan Murphy universe. She last appeared in his horror-comedy Scream Queens in 2015, playing Chanel #2. Before that, she rose to fame as the bubbly Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon’s Victorious and Sam & Cat.
Since then, Grande’s career has taken flight — from releasing chart-topping albums like Thank U, Next to making her biggest acting move yet as Glinda the Good in Wicked: Part I, which earned her a 2025 Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
She will reprise her role in Wicked: Part II, set to premiere November 21.
But now, she’s trading sparkling pink gowns for horror-fueled suspense — and fans are already counting the days.
If history has taught us anything about American Horror Story, Season 13 is likely to be wild, chilling and absolutely unforgettable.
And with Ariana Grande in the cast?
Expect the screams — and the high notes — to be legendary.
