A once-celebrated Malibu estate formerly owned by music producer David Foster and former model Yolanda Hadid is back on the market—this time as a rare ocean-view development opportunity.
The 3.25-acre property, which was reduced to a vacant lot following last year’s Palisades Fire, is now listed for just under $12 million, offering buyers the chance to reimagine a luxury coastal residence from scratch.
Perched on a prime stretch of Malibu known for its expansive Pacific views, the site comes with conceptual architectural plans by Bowery Design Group. The proposed blueprint envisions a 14,000-square-foot modern estate featuring six bedrooms, ten bathrooms, 14-foot ceilings, and sweeping 270-degree ocean panoramas—ideal for elegant indoor–outdoor living.

The vision for the new compound includes a full suite of luxury amenities: a private theater, spa, fitness center, game room, and nearly 4,000 square feet of outdoor lounging and entertainment space. The plans also call for three pools, a bocce court, and a multi-sport court, making the property a complete lifestyle retreat. The address still offers La Costa Beach Club access and close proximity to Malibu favorites such as Nobu, Soho House, and the Malibu Pier.

Daniel Milstein, who is co-listing the property alongside Aaron Kirman of Christie’s International Real Estate, says the opportunity is extremely rare. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rebuild an iconic residence on a lot that is rarely available in proper Malibu. Thanks to Bowery Design Group, we have a great vision of what this property can become,” he shared.
Foster and Hadid originally purchased the home in 2007 for $4.5 million and transformed it into a European-style villa. The estate later gained wider recognition during Hadid’s time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and is remembered as part of the Hadid sisters’ upbringing.
Today, Yolanda resides in Fort Worth, Texas, while Foster remains based in Los Angeles.
