A playful concert moment turned awkward when singer Sombr accidentally dialed producer Benny Blanco during a live segment meant to call Selena Gomez.
Sombr, 20, was performing on Monday night when he began his usual “Call Your Ex” bit, encouraging the audience to watch as he dialed someone from his phone. This time, he told fans he planned to call his own ex instead.
But once the call connected, it quickly became clear he had reached the wrong person.
“Hello? Selena?” Sombr asked into the microphone. A deeper voice responded, leading him to realize he was speaking to Gomez’s husband, Benny Blanco, 38.

“Is this Benny Blanco?” Sombr asked, sounding caught off guard. Blanco did not appear amused and quickly ended the call. Sombr awkwardly attempted to joke that he was “trying to call your wife” before moving on with the show.
The moment was captured by fans and circulated widely on social media.
Gomez, 33, and Blanco married on September 27 in Santa Barbara, California, during a private, Old Hollywood-inspired ceremony. Gomez wore a custom satin gown by Ralph Lauren, while Blanco wore a classic tuxedo. Guests included Taylor Swift and Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building co-stars Martin Short, Steve Martin and Paul Rudd.
After the wedding, the couple took a road trip honeymoon along the California coast and through Texas. A source previously told People that they loved the relaxed getaway, describing it as “perfect” after days of celebration.
Meanwhile, Sombr has not publicly commented on the prank call mishap, though fans online have labeled the moment one of the most unexpected — and awkward — stage interactions of the year.
