Kate Hudson and Danny Fujikawa Step Out for Glamorous Red Carpet Date Night

Actress Kate Hudson and her fiancé Danny Fujikawa made a stylish appearance in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 26, for the premiere of Hudson’s new film Song Sung Blue at the 2025 AFI Fest.

Hudson, 46, turned heads in a silky amber gown with soft folds at the neckline that gathered into a knot near the hem. She completed the look with bold red lipstick and her blonde hair styled in loose, crimped waves. Fujikawa, 39, kept his outfit simple and sharp in a brown pinstripe suit paired with a black T-shirt and black sneakers.

The couple posed closely together on the red carpet, smiling for photographers.

Song Sung Blue, based on the 2008 documentary of the same name, tells the true story of Claire and Mike Sardina, a Milwaukee couple who formed the band Lightning & Thunder in tribute to singer Neil Diamond. Hudson stars alongside Hugh Jackman in the film, which also features Michael Imperioli, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir, Hudson Hensley, Fisher Stevens and Jim Belushi. The film is set for release on December 25.

This is not the first time the pair have appeared together at a public event this year. They were last seen on the red carpet at the Breakthrough Prize Ceremony in Los Angeles in April. Earlier in February, they attended the premiere of Hudson’s Netflix series Running Point, where she wore a satin gown with a dramatic neckline and side slits, while Fujikawa chose a classic black suit.

Hudson and Fujikawa have been together since 2017 and share a daughter, Rani Rose, born in 2018. Hudson also has two sons from previous relationships — Ryder, born in 2004, and Bingham, born in 2011.

Despite being engaged, Hudson has previously said she is not in a hurry to plan a wedding. Speaking earlier this year, she shared that she enjoys being engaged but finds the idea of formal wedding planning overwhelming.

“I like the idea of being engaged forever,” she said, adding that she still might consider a small, private ceremony one day.
