American rapper Kevin Gates is facing serious claims from his estranged wife, Dreka Gates, who has accused him of cutting off financial support for her and their two children. Dreka has now asked a court to order the musician to pay substantial child and spousal support.
According to court documents obtained by DREAMBIZ ENTERTAIN, Dreka said Kevin stopped supporting the family financially in late 2021, ending payments for essential expenses like property taxes and private school fees for their children.
She told the court that while neglecting his family’s financial needs, Kevin continued to live lavishly, purchasing 18 luxury cars and a $4.7 million mansion in Calabasas, California.
Dreka further claimed that their Mississippi farm is now facing foreclosure after the IRS issued a levy demanding $7 million in unpaid taxes.
She is asking the court to compel Kevin to pay $27,193 per month in child support and $46,274 per month in spousal support.
Court documents also reveal that Kevin is disputing the claims, arguing that the two were never legally married—a position Dreka’s legal team has described as “factually baseless.”
Dreka has also requested to be granted primary custody of their two children, saying she has cared for them 95% of the time since 2023.
The couple reportedly married in October 2015 and share two children — Islah, 12, and Khaza, 11. Dreka filed for divorce in July 2025, citing irreconcilable differences.
Kevin Gates has yet to publicly respond to the claims.
