Reality TV star Brittany Cartwright has confirmed that she has split from her boyfriend, Brandon Hanson, just two months after they went public with their relationship.
The Vanderpump Rules alum shared the news during the October 10 episode of her podcast, When Reality Hits, after a fan asked about her “new boyfriend.”
“Little side note, I’m single. We actually did not last,” Cartwright, 36, revealed. “We were very good friends before we started dating. It was kind of like a whirlwind relationship. It went into the public way sooner than we ever would have wanted it to.”
Cartwright explained that “long distance” was the main reason for their breakup, saying the relationship was difficult to maintain since they lived in different cities.
“I could not do the long distance and he’s got a lot of obligations with his three kids and jobs,” she said. “We lived three hours away, so it was too tough to keep it going.”

Despite the split, the reality star insisted that the two parted on good terms. “We really cared about each other,” she said. “Hopefully, we can remain friends, but it’s just something I didn’t see that was going to be able to continue in the future.”
Cartwright added that being single is what’s “best” for her right now as she continues to heal from her divorce from fellow reality star Jax Taylor. “I still have a lot of healing and learning to do,” she said.
The mother of one filed for divorce from Taylor, 46, in August 2024 after five years of marriage. The former couple share a 4-year-old son, Cruz, who was diagnosed with autism earlier this year. Cartwright was granted full custody of their child in 2023.
Cartwright and Hanson first went public with their romance in August when they were spotted getting cozy during a trip to Mexico. They were later seen together at a Los Angeles event, sparking speculation about their relationship.
However, their relationship drew attention after Hanson’s estranged wife, Jasina Stanko, publicly accused him of still being married. “He’s my husband!!!” Stanko wrote in a viral TikTok post about the couple’s budding romance, adding, “That man is married.”
At the time, a source told Page Six that both Cartwright and Hanson were going through divorces. “Like Brittany, he is going through a divorce, and he and his ex have been separated for the past seven months,” the insider said, adding that the two “found comfort in each other as they’ve been navigating their respective divorces.”
Cartwright later told TMZ that she and Hanson were “not technically boyfriend and girlfriend just yet,” explaining that they had “known each other for 15 years” and were “just seeing how it goes.”
While their relationship may have been short-lived, Cartwright says she’s focused on herself and her son. “For now, being single is what’s best for me,” she said.
