Teddi Mellencamp Announces Her Stage 4 Cancer Is “Gone” in Emotional Health Update

Reality TV star Teddi Mellencamp has shared uplifting news about her health, revealing that her stage 4 cancer is now undetectable. Speaking on her Two T’s in a Pod podcast, Mellencamp told guest host Dolores Catania that recent scans showed no sign of cancer.

“Just to give a little life update to you guys, I had my immunotherapy yesterday and I did my scans and at this point there is no detectable cancer,” she said during Friday’s episode. “When they told me, I was in such shock. I was like, numb. I’m still going to be having days when I’m feeling sick because I’m still in immunotherapy, so I’m still fighting because you have to be.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum clarified that while her results are promising, she’s not officially in remission yet. “I’m not considered in remission or anything like that,” she explained. “The way the doctors said it works, it’s like one year, then two years, then at three years you’re allowed to be considered in remission. But that was huge news yesterday.”

The milestone comes months after Mellencamp revealed she had paused her immunotherapy treatments due to severe side effects. At the time, she said, “They did a bunch of scans and everything’s looking good, everything’s shrinking … but it’s showing that’s why I medically feel so sick is from the immunotherapy. So we’re going to take a little break to get my body back feeling stronger.”

The 44-year-old reality star was first diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in 2022 and has since undergone multiple procedures to remove cancer-related tumors. In April 2025, Mellencamp shared that her cancer had spread to her brain and lungs, advancing to stage 4.

Speaking to Nightline earlier this year, she recalled her shock upon learning her survival odds. “It’s one of my favorite things to ask, ‘How long I got?’ Or, ‘What are my chances?’ And they often say, ’50/50,’” she said. “I was like, ‘50/50?! I wouldn’t buy a car that’s only gonna drive 50 percent of the time. I don’t want this!’”
