Community Holds Vigil for Celeste Rivas Found Dead in Singer’s Car

Friends, family, and residents of Lake Elsinore, California gathered on Sunday night to honor the life of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, whose body was recently discovered in a shocking case that has drawn national attention.

At the candlelight vigil, mourners left flowers, balloons, lights, and handwritten messages as they remembered the teenager, who had been reported missing last year. Her mother confirmed that Celeste had a boyfriend named David before she disappeared.

Authorities later identified Celeste’s remains inside the trunk of a Tesla linked to popular singer D4vd. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, the body was “severely decomposed” and is believed to have been in the vehicle for a long time.

Detectives are investigating whether Celeste may have been killed at a Hollywood Hills home where the singer was living. Investigators from the LAPD’s Scientific Investigation Division carried out a 12-hour search at the property last week, using luminol to check for traces of blood.

Officials say there are possible connections between Celeste and D4vd, including matching tattoos, song lyrics, and video clips showing them together. However, police have not yet named any suspect or person of interest in the case.

The investigation is ongoing as the community continues to mourn the teenager’s tragic death.
