Former Try Guys star Ned Fulmer and his wife Ariel Fulmer have separated, three years after his workplace cheating scandal made international headlines.
A spokesperson confirmed the split to People magazine on Tuesday, saying Ned still “cares deeply” for Ariel and that the two are “working on something new.” Despite the separation, the spokesperson added that the couple remains amicable and even vacationed in Greece this summer with their two sons, Wesley and Finley.
The update comes after TMZ published a photo of Ned speaking with another woman at Zebulon music venue in Los Angeles on September 7. There was no public display of affection captured in the photo.
Ned, 38, and Ariel, 39, who married in September 2012, will discuss the state of their relationship on the debut episode of his new podcast, Rock Bottom, set to launch Wednesday.
In September 2022, Ned was dismissed from the YouTube group The Try Guys after admitting to an affair with a producer, Alex Herring. At the time, he apologized publicly, saying: “Family should have always been my priority, but I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship. I’m sorry for any pain that my actions may have caused to the guys and the fans, but most of all to Ariel.”
The scandal broke after photos of Ned kissing Herring at a New York City bar circulated online, sparking a wave of criticism against him.
In an interview published by People on Tuesday, Ned said he had taken a long break from social media to focus on his mental health and his family. He revealed that he and Ariel had attended couples therapy and worked on rebuilding their relationship.
“We have a much clearer sense of boundaries — understanding and respecting each other’s boundaries — as well as integrity and being direct with each other, even when it might be unpleasant,” Ned said.
