Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly asked his club, Al-Nassr, to sign English forward Mason Greenwood.
Greenwood, who currently plays for French side Marseille, is attracting attention despite the summer transfer window closing in most European countries. The Saudi Pro League, however, still has its transfer window open until September 11.
Ronaldo, who recently signed a new two-year contract with Al-Nassr, is said to be keen on bringing Greenwood to Saudi Arabia. The two players previously worked together at Manchester United.
Greenwood enjoyed a strong season with Marseille last year, scoring 21 goals and winning the Ligue 1 Golden Boot. Reports suggest he had already been “tempted” by interest from Saudi clubs in 2024.
Al-Nassr, along with other Saudi clubs, are expected to keep pushing to sign Greenwood before their transfer deadline.
