“Love Island USA” reality star Taylor Williams is recovering after being injured during a rodeo accident at the Arizona Invitational Black Rodeo in Scottsdale.
A video shared on social media Friday night showed Williams being thrown from his horse after it tripped over another and fell. The 24-year-old appeared to be briefly trapped underneath the animal before rodeo officials came to his aid.
On Saturday, Williams assured fans he was fine through his Instagram Stories, even while promoting his upcoming nightclub appearance.
“Was in a horse accident last night but I’m still pulling up tonight injured and all! It’s my brother’s bday [you know] we still turnt!” he wrote.
He also posted a photo of himself on a stretcher wearing a neck brace, with the caption: “Preciate all the love! I’m all good.”
Fellow “Love Island USA” co-star Jaylen Brown sent him well wishes, writing that he was “sending all my prayers and positive vibes” for a quick recovery. Williams replied, “Preciate it dawg,” with a blue heart emoji.
Williams, known for his cowboy style, appeared in Season 7 of the Peacock dating series. He first coupled with Olandria Carthen but later paired with Clarke Carraway during Casa Amor. The pair reached the second-to-last episode before being voted off and have continued their relationship outside the show.
In a July interview, Williams said the couple was working on their future together. “I want her to come to Oklahoma, and I’ll go see her in Charlotte,” he said, adding that they are committed to making things work beyond the reality show.
