The Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) has announced eight scholarship opportunities for Kenyan citizens interested in pursuing a Master of Science degree in Actuarial Management at BAYES Business School in the United Kingdom.
In a notice published in MyGov on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, IRA said: “the scholarship will cater for tuition, travel, accommodation and any other incidental expenses.”
To be eligible, applicants must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science with at least Upper Second-Class Honors or an equivalent qualification.
Additionally, candidates should have graduated within the last six years and must have made significant progress toward becoming Associate Members of the Institute or Faculty of Actuaries, with a minimum of five professional papers completed.
Application forms can be downloaded from the IRA website at www.ira.go.ke. Completed forms, along with copies of identification, academic transcripts, certificates, birth certificate, and school leaving certificate, should be submitted to:
