Aaron Taylor-Johnson celebrated the premiere of Kraven the Hunter in New York City with a special red carpet appearance alongside his wife Sam Taylor-Johnson and her daughters Angelica and Jessie.
The family coordinated in stylish ensembles, with Aaron donning a burgundy velvet blazer over a black button-up shirt and pants, while Sam sparkled in a sequined burgundy dress.
Angelica, 27, rocked a tailored suit, and Jessie, 18, stunned in a gun-metal metallic gown with a cowl neckline.
Though the event was a family affair, Aaron’s younger daughters, Wylda, 13, and Romy, 12—whom he shares with Sam—won’t be seeing the R-rated film just yet.
“I have four daughters,” he shared on the red carpet.
“Due to the rating, I can only let the ones that are old enough to watch it. When they come of age, they’ll be able to see it.”
Aaron and Sam’s relationship, marked by their 23-year age gap, has faced public scrutiny since they tied the knot in 2012.
Reflecting on this in Rolling Stone UK, Aaron dismissed societal expectations about timing in life.
“What you gotta realize is that what most people were doing in their twenties, I was doing when I was 13,” he said. “What speed are you supposed to enjoy life at? It’s bizarre to me.”
Meeting Sam on the set of her 2009 film Nowhere Boy when he was 18, Aaron acknowledged that tuning out criticism isn’t always easy.
“There’s a protectiveness that I feel,” he admitted.
“I think it’s really difficult.” Still, he emphasized that his life revolves around balancing family and work, explaining, “I’m just trying to juggle my family and my work… dentist appointments… Career doesn’t necessarily take a back seat, but it takes a different thought behind the choices that you make.”
For Sam, now 57, the opinions of outsiders have long ceased to matter.
“It comes up on the outside perspective of people who don’t know us,” she told The Guardian.
“We’re a bit of an anomaly, but it’s that thing: after 14 years you just think, surely by now, it doesn’t really matter?”
As for online critics? Sam remains unfazed.
“It doesn’t mean anything,” she stated. “It is just people upset with their own sadness; with misgivings about their own life.”
With more than a decade of love and shared memories, Aaron and Sam’s enduring bond continues to shine—both on and off the red carpet.
