Rock band Texas has been confirmed as one of the headliners for next summer’s Bristol Sounds Festival, set to take place at the Lloyd’s Amphitheatre on 27 June.
Known for hits like I Don’t Want a Lover, Say What You Want, and Inner Smile, Texas will join other big names such as Olly Murs, Kaiser Chiefs, and Supergrass. The festival, which will run from 25 to 29 June, is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors to the city’s harbourside.
Event promoters Crosstown Concerts praised the festival’s diverse lineup, promising a mix of energetic performances.
Texas, formed in 1986, has sold over 40 million records worldwide, and the band’s lead singer, Sharleen Spiteri, is anticipated to captivate the crowd with her iconic voice.
Promoter Conal Dodds, who has been a fan of the band since receiving their debut CD in 1989, expressed his excitement: “I can’t wait to hear Sharleen’s incredible voice across the harbour side next year; this is going to be a very special show.”
Bristol Sounds remains one of the city’s premier music events, attracting fans from across the UK.
