Rachel Zoe is taking a moment to reflect on a year filled with challenges and personal growth.
On Thanksgiving, the 53-year-old celebrity stylist shared a heartfelt message on Instagram about the ups and downs of the past year, including her ongoing divorce from her estranged husband, Rodger Berman.
After over 30 years together and sharing two sons, Skyler, 13, and Kaius, 10, the couple announced their split in September.
“This year has been a very interesting one, challenging in many ways but also strengthening in many ways,” Rachel said in a video shared on Nov. 29.
“I don’t think I’ve ever leaned on my friends or my family the way I have this year.”
Rachel expressed immense gratitude for her family, friends, and, most importantly, her children.
“I’m happy to say that not only am I so beyond lucky and grateful to have the two most extraordinary children on this planet that I am so lucky to call my little princes, and will always be,” she shared.
In the video, she also took time to acknowledge the immense support from her inner circle. “I have the greatest sister and the greatest parents and the best family,” Rachel said.
“But I have to say, also, I have the most incredible group of friends, that have been to catch me when I fall, support me without even asking, because I don’t like asking anyone.”
In the caption of her post, which featured photos of her Thanksgiving celebration with her sons, Rachel added, “I have worked so hard to have the life I live and with challenging moments I always find light in my children and my family and the most extraordinary women that show up without asking because they know I will never ask.”
Rachel’s reflection comes just a few months after she opened up about her family’s adjustment to the split.
“My kids are amazing, and that’s all that matters,” she told E! News in September.
“I mom so hard that I don’t take my eye off them. So they’re happy. I think that’s making everything okay.”
In her announcement of the divorce, Rachel emphasized that their main priority remained their children.
“After 33 years together and 26 years married, Rodger and I have come to the mutual decision to end our marriage,” she shared.
“We are incredibly proud of the loving family we have created and our countless memories together. Our number one priority has been and will always be our children.”
