Citizen TV Journalist Stephen Letoo Raises Alarm After Attack On His Rural Home

Citizen TV journalist Stephen Letoo has voiced deep concerns for his safety following a disturbing attack on his rural home in Enooretet. In an emotional and lengthy Instagram post, Letoo revealed that unidentified individuals targeted his property in the early hours of the morning, raising serious fears for both his family and himself.

The attack took place around 2 a.m., with unknown assailants hurling stones at his compound and even onto the roofs of his house. This alarming event is just one in a series of incidents, suggesting that Letoo may be the target of ongoing harassment. The journalist expressed growing concern, describing the attacks as escalating in severity.

“Last night, a group of unknown people attacked my rural home in Enooretet at around 2 a.m. They hurled stones at my compound and threw others on top of houses,” Letoo wrote. He added that this was not an isolated incident, hinting at possible involvement by individuals with more sinister motives who may want to intimidate him.

Letoo, a prominent media figure, took the attack as a direct threat to his life and the lives of his family members. “I take this as a serious threat to my family and an attempted murder on me and/or some of my family members,” he said, voicing his fears that the continued harassment could have deadly consequences. He believes the attacks are not just personal but could be linked to his professional work as a journalist.

In his plea for protection, Letoo issued a stern warning to those behind the attacks, calling on them to stop before he takes action. “Individuals sending people to attack my home, please stop for the last time before I name and shame you,” he wrote. He also appealed to the General Service Unit (GSU) camp near his home, urging them to step up security measures to safeguard his family and the local community.

As the attacks persist, Letoo vowed to take a stand. In his post, he declared that any further suspicious activities around his home or farm would be met with firm resistance. “Any further night or day activities by unknown persons around my home/farm will be met by the full force of resistance and defence of life,” Letoo concluded.

Letoo’s call for swift action underscores the seriousness of the threat, as he hopes for enhanced protection from local authorities to prevent future incidents.
