In a touching display of remembrance, Katie has been sharing sweet throwback photos on Instagram that capture happier times with her siblings and family.
On September 10, Katie posted a nostalgic snap featuring her brothers, older sister Kristen, and their parents, with a poignant caption: “Missing my boys. Take me back here.” Another heartfelt tribute included a collage of childhood school photos from Kristen’s private Instagram account, accompanied by the simple but powerful message, “Forever us four.”
The day before Katie’s posts, Johnny’s wife, Meredith Gaudreau, revealed a bittersweet update during a memorial service in Media, Pennsylvania. Meredith announced she is expecting her third child with Johnny, despite the tragic circumstances. “John and I had the best six months as a family of four,” she shared. “These will forever be the best six months of my life. There’s one week that I will cherish forever—it will be my favorite week of my life out of those six months. We’re actually a family of five. I’m in my ninth week of pregnancy with our third baby.”
Meredith, who also has Noa, 23 months, and Johnny, 7 months, reflected on the joy of their “total surprise” pregnancy. “In less than three years of marriage, we’ve created a family of five,” she continued. “It doesn’t even sound possible, but I look at it as the ultimate blessing. How lucky am I to be the mother of John’s three babies? Our last one being a blessing and so special despite these difficult circumstances.”
In a touching gesture, Madeline Gaudreau, Matthew’s wife, also shared that she is expecting the couple’s first child, named Tripp, through a GoFundMe page set up by the family.
Katie has made it clear that her brothers’ legacy will live on. In a September 2 Instagram post, she vowed to continue honoring them and supporting their loved ones. “This will never be a goodbye post because I will never stop saying your names and honoring you both,” she wrote. “I’ll take the best care of mom, dad, Kristen, Mer, Madeline, and your babies.”
Katie’s heartfelt tribute to her brothers captures the deep bond and love shared within their family. “To know these two was to love these two,” she reflected. “There are absolutely no words I have to express the bond my family shared.
