Isabella Strahan is back to living her best life after a courageous battle with cancer. The 19-year-old daughter of TV host and former NFL star Michael Strahan is showing the world what it means to thrive after adversity. Following her final round of chemotherapy for medulloblastoma—a malignant brain tumor—in June, Isabella returned to the University of Southern California in August, and she’s giving fans a peek into her vibrant college experience.
On September 7, Isabella posted a joyful TikTok video of her and a friend dancing in their USC merch to a slowed-down version of Addison Rae’s new single, “Diet Pepsi.” Flashing her USC-themed Air Jordans and making heart signs with her hands, the college sophomore radiated happiness as she busted some moves for the camera.
Her followers were thrilled to see her glowing with joy, with one fan commenting, “Absolutely Beautiful Young Ladies,” while another cheered, “YESSSS BABEEE LOVE TO SEE ITTTTT.” After months of treatment, Isabella’s positive energy is truly contagious.
In fact, Isabella has been in a celebratory mood for a while now. She shared a snapshot of her “simple” yet fulfilling life on TikTok back on August 7, which included an empowering handwritten note that read, “Believe that things will get better. No matter what, keep going! F–k cancer!”
Isabella’s journey to becoming cancer-free was an emotional rollercoaster, but she shared the joyous news with her followers in July after receiving a positive MRI scan following four rounds of chemotherapy. “It was a great, great scan,” Isabella revealed in a YouTube video. “Everything was clear. Cancer-free. And everything is great.”
While Isabella expressed gratitude for the support of her medical team, she admitted to feeling bittersweet about not seeing them again until her next appointment in October. “I miss my doctors already and everyone who’s helped,” she said. “They’re all so nice. I feel like I’m just saddened today knowing that I wasn’t gonna be going back for a while ‘cause I love them so much.”
Alongside her medical team, Isabella has had the unwavering support of her family. Her father Michael Strahan, mother Jean Muggli, and twin sister Sophia Strahan have been by her side every step of the way. Michael, ever the proud dad, took to Instagram in June to celebrate his daughter’s strength after her chemo treatments.
“@isabellastrahan you are a SUPERWOMAN,” the Good Morning America anchor wrote. “Ringing that bell finishing chemo and on your way. You continue to fight with a smile on your face, strength, and determination. I am one proud Dad! Love you, Bella.”
Now, as Isabella dances her way through college life and continues to inspire others, it’s clear that her resilience and positivity are stronger than ever.
