Sean Kingston And His Mother Plead Not Guilty For $1 Million Fraud

Sean Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, are challenging serious wire fraud charges that could lead to a 20-year prison sentence.

On Monday, August 26, the singer and his mother appeared in court in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Both Kingston, whose real name is Kisean Anderson, and Turner pleaded not guilty to the charges. T

hey requested a jury trial and access to evidence, but their bond of $900,000 remains unchanged.

Their attorney, Robert Rosenblatt, expressed confidence that they will be cleared once all the facts are revealed.

“Once the true facts come out we are confident of vindication,” Rosenblatt said.

The charges stem from an arrest in May and a subsequent indictment in Miami federal court last month. Kingston and Turner face accusations of conspiracy and multiple counts of wire fraud.

They are alleged to have defrauded sellers of luxury items such as high-end vehicles and jewelry using fake documents and false payment claims.

Kingston, 34, and Turner, 61, reportedly used fraudulent bank documents to acquire goods without making actual payments.

Kingston has publicly denied the charges, dismissing them as “negative energy” in a recent Instagram post. He assured his followers, “I am good and so is my mother! My lawyers are handling everything as we speak.”

If convicted, they could each face up to 20 years in prison.
