Enchanting’s Cause Of Death Has Been Revealed

Enchanting’s cause of death has finally been revealed, as she reportedly succumbed to an accidental overdose.

On Friday, TMZ reported the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the Texas native overdosed on oxycodone and benzodiazepines, the latter of which can be found in Valium, Xanax, and Klonopin.

Enchanting died in June following reports from her sister Kayy Jayy stating she had been in the ICU for an undisclosed medical emergency. Several people confirmed her death on social media, including Gucci Mane, whom she was signed to, and her former So Icy Girlz groupmate K. Shiday.

Jimmy Jackson, Enchanting’s manager, released a heart-warming message about the rapper where he called her someone who had “the most loyal and beautiful souls” and stated her legacy “will live on forever.’

“Channing Larry, our ANGEL,” the statement read in part. “It is with great sadness and pain to accept the reality of the tragic passing of our Queen, Enchanting. Channing came into our life in 2023 when we took over her management. It was clear as day Chant was a star. If you really knew Chant, you know her personality was larger than life, she was a whole vibe and owned every room she walked in.”

Enchanting first joined Gucci’s label, the New 1017, in 2020 but left soon after dropping her No Luv project in 2022. The following year saw the release of the deluxe edition titled Luv Scarred / No Luv, which came with 17 new tracks, including features from Baby Tate and Jacquees. She was also featured on the soundtrack to Season 2 of Issa Rae’s show Rap Shit.
