Rapper Latto remains tight-lipped about her personal life despite growing speculation. In a recent interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music, Latto addressed questions about her love life, which is a central theme in her new album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea.
“The internet doesn’t know anything,” Latto said, dismissing rumors about her relationship. “It’s really nobody’s business. Just listen to the music if you want to know anything.”
Latto admitted that writing songs about her love life can be challenging. “When I’m alone in the studio, it’s fine,” she said. “But when other people are around, I feel like a ‘simp’ and it’s weird letting my pride down.”
Fans have speculated for months that Latto, 25, is dating rapper 21 Savage, though she has consistently denied the rumors. Last year, a TikTok video of Latto cooking soul food led some to believe she was preparing the meal for 21 Savage.
Latto addressed the speculation directly on social media, saying, “No, I’ve said I’m not [dating 21 Savage] plenty of times.”
The rumors were further fueled by tattoos the two rappers have of each other’s names—Latto has 21 Savage’s birth name, Sheyaa, tattooed behind her ear, while 21 Savage has Latto’s birth name, Alyssa, inked on his body.
Despite these signs, 21 Savage has publicly denied having a celebrity girlfriend and emphasized their relationship is professional. In a December 2022 Clubhouse chat, he stated, “I don’t have a celebrity girlfriend.” Latto has also clarified their connection, stating in a 2021 interview that their relationship is based on “real respect.”
