Megan Thee Stallion has addressed critics who had something to say about her performance at Kamala Harris’ campaign rally in Atlanta.
On Thursday, the Houston Hottie performed at the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago and took a moment during her set to address the backlash she received for twerking at the campaign rally. According to Meg, she claimed her critics were “fake mad” and reiterated Harris’ purported goals if she wins the presidential election in November.
“They was fake mad that I was popping it for Kamala,” Meg said after a thunderous performance of her song “Girls in the Hood.” “I don’t think they heard what she said…Kamala said she wants a ceasefire. Kamala said she supports women’s rights. Kamala said y’all tired of those high…gas prices. Kamala said ‘I’m for the people.'”
She continued, “Tonight I’m not giving y’all my lightest twerk. I’m giving y’all my hardest twerk in the…rain. It’s Hotties for Harris!”
Meg was one of many guests Vice President Harris invited to her rally. Quavo introduced Harris to the crowd and spoke about gun safety laws, a cause he’s been advocating for since his nephew and former groupmate, Takeoff, was shot and killed in 2022.
Of course, Harris’ opponent, former president Donald Trump, also weighed in on the rally, ridiculing her for holding a “concert” to gain more votes. However, Trump had New York rappers Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow speak at one of his rallies in The Bronx in May.
“Crazy Kamala Harris, voted the WORST Vice President in American history, needed a concert to bring people into the Atlanta arena,” Trump said on Truth Social. “I don’t need concerts or entertainers, I just have to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
