While Cardi B has proceeded with a second divorce filing, the rapper denies that she went unsupported by her husband, Offset.
On Saturday (August 3), media platform The Jasmine Brand reshared an article from People, with a source claiming that Offset wasn’t fully present for his wife of nearly seven years.
“As a mom, she expects a partner that contributes fully and that puts the family first,” the source said. “This just wasn’t happening. In general, he just doesn’t support her like a husband should. She needs good vibes and positive energy only in her life.”
But beneath the post, the “On Dat Money” rapper denied that this was the case.
“Ok this is getting weird cause I can say he helps me a lot with my business and the kids,” Cardi wrote. “Never in my career no matter that I went through I had friends or family go to the media sooo I don’t know who is this damn source going to People Magazine…”
She continued, “Even wit my filing I’m not askin for child support my claim is for him to only pay bills he already pays on the kids and the new one.”
Cardi, who shares two children, Kulture, 6, and Wave Set Cephus, 2, with Offset, is currently expecting a third child with the former Migos member.
The former couple have been on-and-off since 2023, when Cardi publicly confirmed last December that she’d been “single for a minute now.”
