How to create a WhatsApp group link

Creating a WhatsApp group link is a convenient way to invite people to join your group without having to manually add each person. Here is how to create a WhatsApp group link.

1. Open the WhatsApp application on your smartphone. Ensure you are logged into your account.
2. Navigate to the chat screen where all your chats and groups are listed. Locate the group for which you want to create an invite link.
3. Tap on the group chat to open it.
4. Tap on the group name at the top of the chat screen. This will open the group information page, where you can see all the details about the group, including participants, media, and settings.
5. Scroll down the group info page until you find the section labeled “Invite to Group via Link.” Tap on it to proceed.
6. On the new screen that appears, you will see options to create the group link. Tap on “Invite to Group via Link” to generate a unique URL for your group.
7. Once the link is generated, you will have several options:
   1. Tap “Copy Link” to copy the URL to your clipboard. You can then paste this link wherever you want (e.g., email, social media, SMS).
   2. Select this option to directly share the link with your WhatsApp contacts.
   3. Tap on “Share Link” to open sharing options such as email, social media platforms, or messaging apps.
8. If you want to change the link for any reason (e.g., if the link has been shared with unwanted individuals), tap “Reset Link.” This action will generate a new link and invalidate the old one.
9. To completely disable the link and prevent anyone from joining via the link, tap “Revoke Link.” This will make the current link unusable.
